Well situated in a quiet corner, but within a couple of minutes walking distance to the facilities of Bewdley. Fantastic neighbours at no 9 & no 10 who assisted me. Cottage clean and well appointed.

Corner Cottage is situated in heart of the beautiful Georgian town of Bewdley on the banks of the River Severn and adjacent to the Wyre Forest. The cottage was completely refurbished in the later half of 2020, with new en-suite shower rooms and open plan lounge/kitchen. The thermal performance of the property has been drastically improved, including smart heating controls. Being in the heart of the town, the cottage is close to all local amenities such as restaurants, public houses, public gardens, the museum and our local brewery. Being located on the edge of the Wyre Forest, there are many walks and cycle routes starting from the town of varying distance and difficulty. Cycle hire is available adjacent to the Wyre Forest visitors centre. During the second week in October, Bewdley Festival Society hosts an eight day arts festival, covering comedy, music, theatre and classical music. A truly varied evening programme is offered supported by daytime lectures and events. Tickets can be reserved by the Bewdley Festival website. The festival organises Music in St George’s Hall usually on the last Friday of the Month and also a film night every Thursday evening. The cottage is only about 3kM from the West Midlands Safari Park and very close to Bewdley Station on the Severn Valley heritage railway operating between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Limited free parking is available on site. The space in front of the cottage will allow for one large vehicle. Additional parking is available in a nearby public car park.
Our family would love to welcome you to our cottage set in the heart of Bewdley. We love walking and are knowledgable about the various walks starting from our doorstep. Some are short and some fairly long, but all enjoy lovely riverside views or forest views. Richard is an amateur golfers and can advise you and even help with booking tee times on the four or 5 courses within a short drive. We will do our level best to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
Bewdley has a town museum and associated gardens in the town centre, in fact the cottage backs on to these gardens. There are many cafes, restaurants and bars in the town, catering for most tastes. Bewdley also has its own Brewery which does host experience days during the summer weekends if you fancy your hand at brewing. The river Severn winds through the town and you will see fishermen, rowers, and canoeists all enjoying life on the water. Bewdley rowing club hosts regattas usually in July. West Midlands Safari Park borders the East of the town, with many animal enclosures to visit in addition to the usual theme park rides. Also in the East of the town is the Severn Valley Railway that runs from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. One can use the SVR to extend the range of available walks, by walking a section of the river between stations. The SVR museum at Highley is definitely worth a visit. To the West and North of the town is the Wyre Forest which boasts many walking and cycling trails. At the visitors centre, cycle hire is available and the opportunity to "Go Ape". This company provides walkways at tree top level and zip wire rides.
