Essentially an apartment of 2 rooms in the attic space of the Live-hosts house but with the guest own bathroom on the first floor. You have a double bedroom plus your sitting room .A foldable table and chairs are provided so you can have take awaya upstairs. Internet tv with Netflix is now available. Free car parking on the street outside the house . Breakfast of cereals, toast and scones is included. It’s’ a crafty and arty space and a restful meditative place to relax in. The sitting room includes a divan sofa bed. An iron, electric fleece and 4 fans are available in the rooms. It has a calm and relaxing atmosphere with free Internet and shared cooking facilities in a large farmhouse type kitchen and drink making facilities in the kitchen and guest sitting room. Towels, toiletries and bath mat are provided. The 2 rooms are on the second floor and the second floor stairs are steeper than the first floor stair- access. Not suitable for children or for people with arthritic hips or knees issues due to attic stairs or if you are allergic to cats. It has a wildflower type garden in spring and summer in the front yard that you are welcome to sit in. This year the Host Ginny is taking part in the Saltaire Open Gardens so if you stay on the 12 to 13 Sept there will be people visiting the front garden. The Salts arts complex is 5 minutes away, the village has vintage events in Victoria Hall, and is good location for attending events in Bradford and Leeds at the weekend, and it's very close to the railways station, supermarkets, cafes,restaurants, bars and the Saltaire Heritage walk.

I love travel and crafts, making stained glass, knitting and felting and am a keen baker as the books in my house show! I spend a lot of time on an allotment and going to the local jazz club on Caroline street in Saltaire, I have lived in Asia and Europe, My love of other cultures makes me an ideal welcoming host. I am warm and welcoming but give my guests privacy. I have a 10 year old tabby cat. If you are allergic to cats possibly not the place for you

Saltaire is a UNESCO heritage village. It’s a great place to visit for walks, weekends and is well known for hosting David Hockney works in the Salts Mill arts complex a few minutes away. It has regular vintage and art exhibitions and an Arts Trail festival in May and a 2 week festival in September. Caroline Street Club and Yard fest 2 minutes away hosts regular jazz and rock music events. A fabulous place to come to at weekends with Robert park and Basildon Moor close by.
