An opulent hotel, with a refurbishment that had great care, along with attention to detail. The lobby is more than comfortable enough, and I actually spent hours sitting there and chose to work there instead of in the room. The overall hotel feels like you step back in time to a "when" that people treated each other with the utmost respect and were always well mannered. This brings me to the hotel's strongest point. The staff. It feels as if 95% of the staff were curated by scouring all of Britain for people who embody their values and can represent them well. Each member of the staff greets you, ensures you feel like you are at home and that you are someone. They are fast to help and handle any questions, concerns or requests. Our stay was a mix of business and pleasure, for almost three weeks and other than just wanting to explore a competitor around the corner, we will absolutely return here for all follow on visits. And did I mention they are dog friendly?!

Everything was really great, location was really good only a short walk from the centre had plenty of restaurants around for both dining and quick snacks! I got there early and planned to leave my bags but they checked if my room was ready without me asking and I was able to check in early! All the staff I met were super friendly - the room was clean and all the amenities were good - had a lovely quiet room and though we only got up early enough for breakfast once what was provided was perfect

FAQs about hotels in Leeds

Stylish, Stately and A Shopping Haven!

Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a historic gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.

Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.

As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.

The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.

On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodations on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

What Guests Said About Leeds:

Leeds is a fantastic City.

Leeds is a fantastic City. It has an abundance of shops, restaurants, hotels and bars. A great day/night out. A huge mixture of cultures and this is reflected in the choices of restaurants available. Shopping is brilliant - a lot of high end luxury shops but also Trinity has all your high street shops. It is very safe, clean and the people are so welcoming and friendly. There is also a lot of history and culture.

City centre is very nice, but turn a corner and it’s strewn with less than desirable people begging, dirty and leaning rubbish lying around on the footpaths. Lots of excrement on a side road (Concordia Street, covered in it).

The city looks huge on the map but is very walkable.

The city looks huge on the map but is very walkable. The majority of the centre is pedestrianised but many of the paving stones are badly broken making it difficult for anyone who is sight impaired or has walking problems. We loved the Georgian & Victorian shopping centres which are extremely well maintained and clean. We took a 20 minute bus ride to Roundhay Park and had a lovely breakfast at the Lakeside cafe, before walking around the lake. This took a good 60-70 minutes, but wouldn't be recommended for anyone who is unsteady on their feet as the terrain is coarse and stony.

I always call Leeds little London.

I always call Leeds little London. It was good to be back again after how many years. I enjoyed my time with family and friends. Attended a festival and went to the Roundhay Park afterwards. We drove to Scarborough on our second day and Liverpool on our third day. We went around the shopping mall and market place as well as the museum on our last day before leaving to York. Visited the church near the museum. Ate at Jolibee.

Leeds has a lot to offer including, shopping, various museums, parks and entertainment. The Dales are in easy reach even by bus. The city is well connected by train. There is also the Middleton Railway which first ran steam trains before Stephenson.

Leeds is a vibrant and interesting city with plenty to see and do. The bars I visited had a friendly atmosphere, and there's a large LGBTQ+ nightlife scene for those looking for it. At night, there was a noticeable police presence, which seemed appropriate given how busy the city centre becomes. I also encountered a significant number of people asking for money, and on a few occasions they continued walking alongside me after I'd declined, which made me feel uncomfortable. As the evening progressed, some areas of the city felt less comfortable than others. While many parts were lively and enjoyable, there were a few streets where I personally wouldn't have felt confident walking alone late at night. Overall, it's a city with a lot to offer, but it's worth being aware of your surroundings after dark.

A well-located hotel, which is a short walk from the city centre (10 mins) and right next to the Leeds canal, which has a lovely path beside it for walks. Parking next door to hotel very reasonable with hotel discount. Rooms on the small side but well-equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, great shower, and excellent air-con. Staff pleasant and very helpful - no issues with swapping one of our double rooms for a twin. Decent bar for a drink before bed 🙂 Plenty of choice at breakfast.

We have stayed here before and it’s always a perfect stay. Right in the city centre with everything close by. If you’re there for a concert or show the arena is only 10 minute walk away and the O2 even nearer. The hotel is stunning. The staff are brilliant. The rooms are lovely, comfy beds, comfy quilts and comfy pillows. We were on the front and even with people outside we didn’t hear anything. We will always stay here when we go to Leeds.
