Loved everything - so spacious and really feels luxurious. Booked two rooms, one with river views and the second for teenage son. Son’s room was upgraded at no extra cost, a lovely touch. Loved the walk in wardrobes in both rooms. Breakfast was superb.

Very clean city, amble public transport some of which is free. We did a walking tour and a bus tour, both informative and told us about the city (old and new) Visited a couple of bars where the staff were very friendly people. Especially liked how flat it is to walk around, we live in Edinburgh which is the complete opposite. Will definitely return at some point.

We traveled to Manchester because my son is a Manchester...

We traveled to Manchester because my son is a Manchester City fan. Other than that, we didn't find there was a lot to see compared with other cities we visited. We had been to London first, and the difference between the two cities was noticeable. Manchester has its own charm, and the universities are especially impressive, but for our family, it isn't a destination where we would spend several days again. If we return in the future, it would likely be for a short visit.

Full of all different types of people which is great, more homeless people than I was expecting and the streets were a little dirty but I guess that's a big city. Too much preaching from religious types which takes away from the overall experience, but manchester is a great city with good people there, I would say 2-3 days is enough there and you should enjoy.

The hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to walk to Manchester Piccadilly station, the AO Arena and the city centre. The room was clean, well presented and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Holly in the bar, who provided outstanding service, was genuinely warm and made us feel valued throughout our visit. She is a real credit to the hotel.
