April 2008: my hosting journey started. This was a time when hardly anyone had heard of serviced apartments or short-stay rental accommodation. Yes, we were one of the very first to offer a quality self-catering option! It was nice to be able to provide a home-from-home experience for those who didn't want to stay in a hotel or B&B. Over 17 years ago, our guests wanted to spend the maximum quality time with their loved ones instead of being segregated in separate hotel bedrooms most of their trip away. Today Lushpads guests continue to tell us how much they enjoy the large communal spaces. They are perfect for groups to cook, dine, relax, pre-drink socialising, and of course, getting ready together for a night out on the town! Back then, few had heard of the Northern quarter either, but for me, that was the part of Manchester I fell in love with and called home since 2002. Probably because it wasn't the over-manufactured Deansgate. The NQ had its own quirky personality and has always had that community feel. Anyway, now it's not a secret anymore, and the hustle and bustle of great bars and restaurants are on our doorstep and enjoyed by all! It really makes my day when guests tell me that they have had a wonderful time in Manchester and loved their stay at Lushpads. Manchester Airport is a 20-minute train ride from Piccadilly Station. Piccadilly, Victoria, and Oxford Road are all about 10mins walk away. Piccadilly Gardens tram is the nearest and takes a couple of minutes to walk to from Lushpads down Oldham Street.
