The hotel is in the stadium, which means there is ample parking, and it is also in the town centre with many restaurant options in less than 5 mins walking distance. The breakfast options were good, and they catered to porridge too. The room I stayed was overlooking the pitch, and I would have loved to stay and watch a game, brilliant view!

I have to be honest - I have tried to avoid this Hotel chain over the past few years, but booked this as it was within easy distance of where my event was. I was very positively surprised by the Hotel. It was accessible, clean, comfortable, everything in the room was well appointed and the staff were beyond helpful! The event I attended was a late one and driving back in, the car park was all secure and I was able to enter as there was ANPR - this made me feel really safe and secure too.

I feel so rude as I've forgot the guys name on reception but in my defence I literally dropped off my bags went to a birthday bash returned at about 3ish a little drunk got up about about 9ish to catch my train but he was excellent. Helped me to find the hotel and even stood outside on the main road so I could see him so 10/10.

What Guests Said About Bolton:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 2.0

This is one of the most unpleasant towns in the UK.

This is one of the most unpleasant towns in the UK. The streets are litter strewn and filthy. There are no nice hotels or restaurants. The roads are unsafe owing to very poor traffic and parking enforcement. There is much antisocial behaviour on the streets and no evidence of an appropriate police response.

We stayed in Bolton as we were visiting family on its outskirts for the weekend. We did visit Bolton Market which was outstanding for its fresh vegetables and fish. We also found an excellent coffee stall while we were there! Over the weekend we visited Pennington Flash which is less than 10 miles from Bolton. It's a popular nature reserve and well worth the visit. Would also recommend the Capri Cafe Restaurant in Westhoughton where we enjoyed a family meal on Sunday evening.

Bolton is so clean dindt see any litter ,the place is stunning its just like stepping back 30/40 years where the high street was full of shops clean and people chatted with you .. we travelled to vistit Fred Dibnas old home, grave , his moms home and his statue in the town centre of bolton .. thought that there might have been a shop or two selling some fred merch . We had a cream tea at the olympia where a grand piano was played .. lovey food and service

Right on the edge of the Peak District and with easy access by car to green fields with drystone walls, lakes to wander beside and woods to explore. Great pubs and restaurants serving delicious meals and drinks. I throughly recommend a quiet break in this beautiful part of the country where life is at a slower pace.

We visited Bolton because of family connections.

We visited Bolton because of family connections. The museum, art gallery, library gives a good overview of the history of the town. The theatre was excellent for an evening performance. We like the local 'pies', (pasties) and enjoyed visiting Smithills Hall, which has a good cafe but needs advance booking.

The Market Hall shops were great to go round.

The Market Hall shops were great to go round. Outside a lot of empty shops which is a sign of the times. We were at an event at the Victoria Hall which is a lovely building. Lots of public transport with buses and taxis every few minutes.

The staff were fantastic. 2 fans in.the room, being placed on.the coolest side of the hotel, no problem getting ice for my bottled water and even the offer of a cordial to add to my bottle. If I'm ever back in Bolton I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The room was large and very comfortable, as was the bed. The en suite shower was very good. The layout and location of the hotel are excellent. The village area is a lovely place to wander and sit and enjoy either coffee or a drink.
