Craigdarroch Guest House is ideally situated just 500 metres down a quiet road from the A835, part of the famous NC500 route. It offers easy access to the Isle of Skye, Ullapool (ferry connections), Gairloch, and the wider North and West Highlands. Located only 27 miles from Inverness Airport and 20 miles from Inverness Railway Station, guests benefit from excellent transport links to the Highlands, Scotland’s major cities, and direct connections to London. The guest house is also close to the charming spa village of Strathpeffer, home to welcoming cafés and eateries. Guests can enjoy a scenic 5mile walk through beautiful countryside to reach the village, or a short 6-minute drive. Nearby, the stunning Rogie Falls offers picturesque woodland walks and a suspension bridge with views over cascading waterfalls an ideal spot to experience the natural beauty of the Highlands, especially during salmon season July-Oct. For a special treat, enjoy a meal at Coul House, set against stunning Highland scenery, or relax with an evening drink overlooking the breathtaking views of Strathconon. Car club members, motor cyclists, cyclists and hill walkers all welcome.
Hosting gives me the opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, which I find incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment where guests feel at ease and well cared for. I am often described as cheerful, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring each stay is memorable. My goal is for every guest to leave with positive experiences and lasting memories.
Situated just a short drive from the Ullapool Ferry Terminal and right on the doorstep of the world-famous North Coast 500, our B&B is a convenient and scenic stop for travellers exploring the Highlands and islands. Guests often tell us how much they appreciate the peaceful woodland setting, which offers a true sense of calm and a chance to unwind in nature. Surrounded by beautiful Highland scenery, it’s easy to relax and enjoy the quiet right outside the door. We’re also close to some favourite local spots. Rogie Falls is perfect for woodland walks and, in season, watching salmon leap upstream. Nearby Loch Achilty offers gentle strolls, wonderful photo opportunities, and tranquil views across the water. The charming Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer is just a short distance away, where guests can enjoy lovely cafés, local eateries, and unique shops, all set against a stunning Highland backdrop. It’s this blend of woodland peace, scenic walks, and easy access to beautiful local attractions that guests say makes their stay here especially memorable.
