Gorgeous, large home. Lovely furniture and decoration but not so precious that you didn't feel comfortable. So near the sea and the pub and the smokery.

***NEW FOR 2024 SEASON IS A BEAUTIFUL MASTER EN-SUITE DOUBLE BEDROOM*** Crew House has been welcoming guests for the past five years. It is a welcoming family home in the popular village of Craster. A family retreat with spacious living areas and a south facing garden and deck. The house is situated away from the hustle and bustle at the south end of Craster with sea views and open grass area. At the rear, the property is sheltered by mature trees which serves as a habitat for birds, hedgehogs and frogs. There is also a deck area for sitting out with your morning coffee. The front decking with outdoor dining furniture has stunning sea views and is a pleasant little sun trap. Ground floor: The spacious, well lit family room has a large family dining table, sofa and television. There are French doors leading out to the enclosed rear garden. There are sliding recessed doors between the fully equipped large kitchen and the spacious lounge. This allows for open plan living with plenty of room for families or a group of adults. We have installed 2 flat screen TVs, a games console, board games and books. First floor: 3 bedrooms. New for 2024 season - the double bedroom now features an en-suite toilet and shower. The room has been lovingly refurbished and is a relaxing retreat couples. The twin bedroom is a spacious and relaxing space with a double wardrobe, tv and seating. The single room, suitable for both an adult or a child, is at the front with sea views and a nice sunny south facing window. The good sized family bathroom has a shower over bath with a large mirror over the vanity sink.
Crew House - We are a family of volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew at Craster Lifeboat Station. The owner, Keith, was born in the village of Craster and has been on the lifeboat crew for all of his adult life. At the age of 21 he was commended by the Duke of Atholl for his part in saving a life. Today he has been the driving force behind the building of 2 coastal rowing skiffs (look out for them in the harbour at Craster). Both are keen walkers and a great source of local knowledge.
Craster is a small fishing village and an area of outstanding natural beauty. It attracts hundreds of visitors throughout the year, many who come to walk the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle (only 1.5miles from Crew House) and beyond. Fishing trips leave directly from the harbour and traditional smoked kippers can be bought from the smoke house shop in the village. The village has a pub, restaurant and coffee shop as well as an art gallery. There is a children's play park and a large football field. Many a sunny day can be spent on the rocks, down from Crew House, where the kids can hunt for sealife. Three miles north of Craster golfers are welcomed at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club and familes can head to the wide sandy beach of Embleton Bay.
