We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Beach House in Seahouses! The location is perfect, with stunning views that made every morning special. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic—every meal was a delight—and the large, comfortable bed ensured we had a great night’s sleep after exploring the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend The Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway by the sea.

Very good holiday spot, close to Bamburgh, bookings for Farne Islands trips, plenty of restaurants, the harbour and a beautiful coastline. Best eats were at Indian Brasserie, Ye Olde Ship Inn and Insieme. Easy town to walk around and plenty of variety in the shops.

Definitely take a boat tour out to the Farne Islands.

Definitely take a boat tour out to the Farne Islands. We did a tour where we didn't get off the boat and honestly it was completely fine. The boats got close enough to the nesting sea birds and seals that we really felt like we got our eyes full! Also for golfers, do play the local golf course. Some amazing holes on the back 9!

Seahouses though not a big resort has plenty of eateries and takeaways. The harbour is busy with regular boat trips to the Farne islands to see the Puffins and seals. The beaches are stunning that stretch for miles. Just up the road is Bamburgh and its castle are worth a visit.

Seahouses gives you access to some fabulous beaches and is a great location if you want to visit the Farne Islands by boat, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Craster/Dunstanburgh and Berwick Upon Tweed. It's great if you like walking, ie to Bamburgh along the beach or go South to Beadnell Bay, just be warned though you will have to walk back, as we couldn't get a bus or taxi from Beadnell Bay. Seahouses itself is a small fishing village, with a few gift shops and a few small food stores and there are a decent choice of places to eat. We would recommend Elan Pizzeria which is reasonably priced and excellent pizzas, Insieme a bit more upmarket and expensive Italian but good food. There are 2 Indian restaurants, we ate at The Spice House, a smaller restaurant but friendlier, service good and food was tasty and reasonably priced. The 2 pubs we chose to eat at in the evening where the Olde Ship Inn and The Black Swan (book both in advance, especially The Black Swan). The Black Swan is a Gastro Pub and food there is excellent, highly recommend the burger, if you don't want fish. Service was a little slow, but we didn't really care, as it was a nice relaxing atmosphere and you didn't feel rushed to vacate your table. Food in the Olde Ship Inn was nice too but the dishes I chose were spoilt a bit by the cheese, it was far too strong for my taste. You also have a choice of 3 Fish & chips takeaways who also do eat in. We favour Lewis's.

Bamburgh Castle just up the coast is a must, with lots to see and do, and we also explored Berwick as well as Seahouses itself. There, we enjoyed a pint of excellent local ale in each of two seafront pubs, and a wonderful breakfast of Craster kippers in a nearby third. The highlight of our stay, though, was a two-hour boat trip around the Farne Islands – a puffin cruise with, in addition to close encounters with these adorable charmers and other seabirds, 'bottling' seals and even a shy harbour porpoise on the way back. Truly magical!

We loved Seahouses.

We loved Seahouses. The harbour is pretty and the beaches and coastal path are stunning. We found the people in Seahouses very friendly. We wish we had visited for more than just a couple of days but we will return. It was nice spending time down by the harbour and visiting the Lifeboat Station. We took a boat trip to Inner Farne and saw Puffins and a huge variety of other wildlife. The trip was informative and very well organised. We walked along part of the England Coastal Path and visited Banburgh Castle which is very interesting.

Breakfast was excellent and there was something of everything for everyone. Staff were great and very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was awesome, clean and very comfortable. Shower was one of the best i have ever used in a hotel with plenty of power and hot water. All said and done, anyone can pick fault. We had a great time and love Seahouses which we have visited every couple of years or so.

The hotel is in a stunning location in Northumberland and has beautiful sea views. It is literally a 5 minute walk in to the village of Seahouses, where you have all your local amenities. The breakfast was delicious and all the staff were super friendly, big shout out to David behind the bar. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
