The house was built in 1876 and has recently been renovated. It has lovely views over the dales to Black Combe Fell. It is approximately 2 miles from Drigg beach with 8 miles of dunes and beaches. The famous Scafell Pike and surrounding mountain area are within 10 miles. The breakfast room can be used in the evening for eating take away foods or if you wish to, you can pick a book to read or play a game. Packs of cards and a few other fun games can be found on the book case. Water and fruit are also available here, if you fancy a snack. I provide 2 double en-suite rooms with walk-in showers and 1 twin room with separate, private bathroom and loo. There is a lovely rear garden which is available for guests to use with views over the dale and dunes and a pretty arbour in the front garden for guests to enjoy.

I enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them to my home. I love gardening and living in this amazing countryside. I have 1 cat, (she is not allowed in the guest areas of the house.) I look forward to greeting guests at Dale View , always happy to help with questions and information. This year (2023) the b&b won 'four in a bed'. A great accolade to the b & b and well earnt. I am very proud of my property.

There are so many walks in this area and cycle routes too. The scenery is stunning and there are lots of places to visit. Big towns to tiny hamlets, hiking up mountains or just taking a gentle stroll by a river. There are 8 miles of beach and dunes by the Irish Sea, just down the road. Friendly local pubs/restaurants serving delicious food are easily reached. Wastwater is just 20 minutes away with Scafell Pike at its head. Muncaster castle and the La'll Ratty railway about 5 minutes away.
