To make the most of the Lake District, guests can take a 15-minute trip on foot to the picturesque Fawe Park, the inspiration to some of Beatrix Potter’s children’s books. Alternately, a 5-minute drive will take guests to Keswick, a market town and the source of the world’s first graphite pencils.
