The stunning National Trust owned Stourhead House, lake and gardens are in the direct vicinity being just 5 minutes by car. Compton Abbas Airfield is just 7 miles away and is the perfect place to have a flight experience or just a bite to eat amongst all the activity whilst enjoying the views that reach for 30 miles and beyond. Bruton - for culinary, lifestyle and arts including the world-famous Hauser & Wurth gallery. The Newt in Somerset is a 15 minute drive away. The historic market town of Frome, a charming and vibrant place to visit, is just over 20 mins drive away. Longleat House and Safari Park can be reached by car within 20 minutes. Nearby Shaftesbury is an interesting and historic town of Saxon origin, with the famous Gold Hill, and Abbey Museum and Gardens. Sherborne with its Abbey and boasting two castles is only a 25 minute drive away. The beautiful, historic city of Bath is under an hour's drive and is a great place to spend the day with fabulous shopping, bars and restaurants. The county town of Dorchester with its Thomas Hardy Heritage, fine museums and Roman Town House is under an hours drive away and only 15 minutes from the sandy shores of Weymouth Beach. The stunning Jurassic Coast with the popular resorts of Lulworth, Kimmeridge, and West Bay are around an hour's drive away.
