Nearby attractions include the historic town of Totnes, which is just a few miles away, and the naval town of Dartmouth. For those looking for beaches, you will be delighted with the choices! The best beach in the UK (as voted by Conde Naste Traveller) is Blackpool Sands, only a short drive from the barn. Slapton Sands stretches from Strete Gate to Torcross, an incredible 4 miles of beautiful views over Start Bay, perfect for swimming in the summer months. Dittisham is 1.5 miles from the barn, perfect for a leisurely stroll to this charming and idyllic village. Situated on the west bank of the River Dart, it is well known for the Ferry Boat Inn pub which overlooks the river. The Anchorstone cafe is a favourite with tourists and locals alike and the passenger ferry is a must, it will take you to Dartmouth or across the water to the National Trust Greenway House, Agatha Christie's holiday home. East Cornworthy offers visitors a quiet and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of life with plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful countryside and coastline of South Devon.
