Our 11 holiday cottages at Cranmer are situated on our farm in a countryside location close to the north Norfolk coast. We are just 10 miles away from the wonderful sandy beaches at Holkham Bay & Wells-next-the-sea. Each of our four and five-star cottages are well-equipped and designed with families in mind. Our site boasts a luxury indoor heated pool, each cottage receives private swimming sessions during their stay, 2 all-weather tennis courts, games room with toddler play space and plenty of safe outdoor space where children can run off energy and make friends at the Wendy house or the miniature shepherds hut. Our Owl, Owls Roost and Coot cottages each have a private hot tub, while Garden House and Eco Barn have private use of a 9 person luxury hot tub. The cottages are a group single story converted barns inn the grounds of our home they offer large bright open plan living spaces with original beamed ceilings and comfortably furnished with a nod to Scandi style. Several properties have additional wood burning stoves for cosy winter weekends with a little Hygge thrown in. Most properties have a private fenced garden area with a barbecue and garden furniture overlooking the extended grassy recreation space where guest can meet and children can play until dusk. Our place has a peaceful laid-back vibe, free WiFi and fibre broadband mean that if you have to combine business with pleasure you can still work from home. North Norfolk is a great destination for all ages and at all times of the year. Norfolk is renowned for its 45 miles of spectacular coastline, fantastic wildlife, miles of glorious beach, seaside communities beautiful open countryside and picturesque market towns and villages. You will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do in the local area. The city of Norwich is just 29 miles from Cranmer and less than an hour away, there you will find an array of galleries, theatres, restaurants, a castle, a stunning cathedral and of course...

The Eco Barn is two adjacent communicating stylish five-Star luxury converted barns. Garden House & Avocet are hired as a single property for extended family holidays, gatherings and events. The properties offer flexible space to socialise together when you want to, and a space of your own if you choose to be independent. The dining table in Garden House seats up to 12 and the space works well for bespoke dinner parties and fine dining events. Outside there is a private walled courtyard overlooking the gardens and farmland with a gas barbecue and outdoor furniture to seat up to 14 guests.

Cranmer is a tiny rural hamlet just outside of Fakenham and ideally located for exploring some of the best Norfolk beaches and major north and West Norfolk attractions. Whether you are looking for nature watching, sporting activities family adventures, nature parks or visiting grand historic houses, estates and gardens you will be spoilt for choice for things to do for all ages. The spectacular coastline is the highlight of the county with a number of award-winning beaches including magnificent sandy beaches of Holkham bay and Wells next the Sea beach within easy reach of Cranmer Country Cottages. Alongside trips to the beach, boat trips, seal trips, steam train journeys and browsing the independent boutiques of Burnham Market and Holt are amongst our guest favourite things to do whilst they’re here. For foodies there are a number of excellent eateries in Burnham Market and our local pub/restaurant is listed in the Michelin guide. Our local town of Fakenham comes alive on a Thursday, market day, where you will find local produce, bric a brac and a live auction taking place. Wells-next the sea is where they bring in the daily catch of fish and shellfish, a bustling port with shops cafes pubs and 2 very good fish and chip shops facing the quay. During the autumn and winter months you’ll find beautiful estate walks, expansive empty beaches and cosy pubs, whilst in the summer the beaches are perfect for building sandcastles and towns and villages come alive with festivals and fayres.
