It is rare to find a B&B as nice as this. Located in a small village a short way off the beaten track, Home Farm House contains two linked family businesses - Hunters B&B and Hunters Academy of Food. Hosts Gary and Nichola have clearly thought things through, and the result of their efforts is spectacular. The B&B, located in one of the renovated barns, contains two nicely sized, beautifully decorated, and quiet rooms, which are clearly a product of Nichola’s extensive hospitality management expertise. Breakfast (which seems to be increasing rare in B&Bs) is equally wonderful and the basket that appears magically outside the room door is filled with morning treats that highlight Gary’s talents as of the UK’s leading chocolatiers (indeed, the pair operate the Hunters of Holt Chocolatier shop about 30 minutes northeast). Communication for our visit was prompt, friendly, and accurate, and Gary met us on arrival to show us the ins and outs. Similarly, he was able to rhyme off several local options when we asked for dinner suggestions. There is lots of free parking in the shingle courtyard, and there are numerous outlets in the room to recharge electronics. Our only regrets? Not being able to stay longer.

It was beautifully decorated throughout. I appreciated the cut glass glasses and a china cup and saucer for my tea. I also liked the fact that the small fridge held a bottle of milk. The breakfast was delicious and as I ordered.

The character or the pub the fact that it's 600 yrs old and still standing . The quirky walls and uneven floors make it an interesting place to stay . The food in the evening was excellent and the breakfast in the morning again perfect .

Fakenham is a lovely market town with a mix of local shops and industrial areas (all easy to walk around especially with dogs). There is a lovely circular walk by the river- choice of 3 distances with a map located in market square. Thursday Market is a mix of food, plants, knick knacks and agriculture and an auction house. It has a big Tesco, library, eateries (we got a Chinese takeaway- choice of 3 we chose nearest!) and Costa. There is a lovely garden centre on outskirt. However for a holiday experience of quaint or coastal you will need to travel.

It clearly use to be a quaint Norfolk town but sadly is a classic of the UK's failing high street. The hotel we stayed in is being used for social housing which was not disclosed. They still have their Thursday market. It lacked little cafes or eateries. Just had the basic shops and charity shops.

Largest town in North Norfolk and it's beaches.

Largest town in North Norfolk and it's beaches. Lovely Holt 25 mins away and Cromer a little further away with professional end of pier show. 2 hours from popular Southwold and Snape Maltings. Fakenham has cinema and Superbowl Sandringham nearby but only 8 areas open to public

Fakenham town is a very nice place to visit.

Fakenham town is a very nice place to visit. There are specific events like the village market, displays of vintage cars etc on specific days/months. It is a great place as a base to explore the surrounding areas. Unfortunately Fakenham shops /restaurants are struggling to survive. There are rejuvenation projects - I really do hope these are successful.

Fakenham as a town is nothing special but there are very lovely walks along the river bank. The Mill at Sculthorpe is close by - a stunning pub with a beautiful garden.[photo] Hunstanton is a great beach. [photo] Blakeney Point is well worth a visit and a walk. Holt is delightful with a great farmers' market every month.

I liked the Crown hotel and may probably return.

I liked the Crown hotel and may probably return. The only problem I had was with noise on a Thursday morning coming from the people who sell at a market outside. This is probably a traditional and weekly market, so there’s no way to counter this. Fakenham seems to be a lovely and peaceful place to live in, I do hope it maintains its British heritage.

A beautiful cottage, well furnished, clean and tidy. Ideal for our visit to the area to attend a family wedding. 10 minute walk into Fakenham, which is a lovely town with a good variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage was well stocked in the kitchen, everything you could need in a self catering establishment. Beds very comfortable. Living room a good size. Bathroom lovely with a good powerful shower. Would definitely stay here again, we all really loved this cottage, a home from home.

Perfect for what I needed, it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s got the basics for a night stay and can be used as a base for exploring the surroundings in the local area. Will definitely return.
