Location is great - private car parking (up to 8 cars!) loads of space, walks in countryside - much more room inside than i realised from the advert too - huge lounge, dining room, lots of kitchen facilities, big bedrooms (all en suite).

a detached, self-contained, 300+ year old, flint & stone riverside property in a very English village; a private Residence & Home only for pre booked guests, my house, becomes your home, furnished & fitted out accordingly, not your normal holiday let; you will love the cosy, wooden beams, nooks & crannies, modern, informal & formal atmospheres of the different areas with access to the entire property within the areas described; they work well for dining, sitting & general lounging about plus Library/media facilities, all tastefully carpeted with additional rugs; walls of colourful artwork, local, animal, nature & seafaring scenes; large light & airy rooms, space for all guests to recharge, relax, revitalise & reconnect with colleagues, friends & family; although situated in the countryside we are conveniently located 12 min 7 miles Dorchester, 5&30-minute walk to local pubs, many others a 5-to-10-minute scenic drive away; This is an area bursting with history, natural beauty & hidden potential with surrounding towns, villages, countryside & beaches; This is an area bursting with history, natural beauty & hidden potential with surrounding towns, villages, countryside & beaches;
over 50 years’ experience in the hospitality business, since 1999 as principle and owner offering holiday accommodation originally in the thrilling Corbière Hills of the Aude department of France, then incorporating a Spanish Finca in the wild mountains behind Malaga; moving back to the UK to probably the most beautiful Tudor Manor in Devon & now Dorset where the holiday letting service continues with my passion to offer my clients a comfortable & memorable stay in the glorious natural beauty of the Dorset countryside within the delightful Piddle Inn. My ethos is reflected in the service, facilities & care I pride myself in taking to provide you, your friends & family, with what I hope are all the ingredients you will need for an enjoyable stay here in this beautiful chalk stream valley, in so doing I am also proud to support many local wonderful businesses & producers, passing on to you any benefits I may find; a serious commitment to this place I call home. I am here to help and assist you in any way I can.
Being at the heart of the British countryside gives you the opportunity to live like a local with plenty of outdoor pursuits to keep you entertained. There are many great walks here from romantic walks around the village and nearby hikes for those slightly more advanced. Be sure to bring your wellies, although we do have a small selection available to borrow if you forget yours. River Walk is a fun way to explore the valley; From Clay Pigeon Shooting near Evershot, Sea fishing from the stone pier or on one of the many charter boats in Weymouth to flyfishing in some of the best waters in Britain on the Stour there is plenty to keep you occupied; Beaches - you have an endless choice from within 20 minutes – Weymouth bay has large sandy sheltered waters for playing around, all within a short stroll into the Town; Lulworth cove & Durdle Door offer exciting sheltered bays to swim, picnic & partake in various water pursuits; Chesil on Portland involves crossing a large amount of stones but you enter into crystal clear waters for swimming & snorkelling, or, learner & experienced diving to numerous wrecks & reefs; wind & kite surfers skimming across the bay.
