Restaurants The apartments are conveniently located no more than 100 metres from the Jolly Sailors public house which has a traditional bar, beer garden and serves food all day long. The White Horse is a longer walk but worth it for a stunning view over the salt marshes if you eat in the restaurant. A short drive takes you to excellent restaurants in Burnham Market, Stanhoe, Docking, Titchwell, Thornham, Ringstead, Hunstanton, Snettisham, the list goes on. Bird Watching We are blessed with an RSPB reserve on our doorstep as well as vast tracts of salt marsh including Scolt Head Island. There are walkways with stunning views over the marshes and regular viewings of wildfowl and waders including the more exotic spoonbills etc. In the winter months there are thousands of pinkfoot geese which tend to roost on the coast at night and feed inland during the day; their calls act as a natural alarm clock in the mornings. RSPB Titchwell Beaches The nearest beach is Brancaster, where there is a public car park and the private Royal West Norfolk Golf Course. The beach spreads to the East and West and, when the tide is out, the sea is half a mile away over the sand. You can walk onto Scolt Head Island to the East but it is not advisable as the incoming tide can cut you off from the beach. If it very windy there is more shelter at Holkham where there is a pine forest behind the beach itself. National Trust Brancaster Estate Boating Brancaster Staithe is home to a Sailing Club and sailing boats are out most days. If you are a keen sailor you can bring your dinghy and launch at the harbour at high tide. There is also an active Ski Boat club and, subject to the approval of the harbourmaster, you may launch power boats also. If you would like to bring a boat, we can make room for it on our property and provide you with a copy of the harbour regulations. Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club Tennis courts & Golf Courses are nearby.

Located within 100 metres of the popular Jolly Sailors public house and an easy walk to the famous White Horse and Deepdale Shopping Centre, everything you need is available on foot. We are in walking distance of the Norfolk Coast Path and the Coastal Bus services which means you don't need your car to explore the area. Many guests use the bus service to take them to different start points for coastal walks or to collect them from a walk. There are several great beaches and you can find secluded spots even in the busy summer holiday season.
