Breakfast was yummy and our room was nice. However, the building smelt very smokey and often of cigarette smoke.

Company info

We like to explore the bars, restaurants and shops in Bowness. There is plenty to do, you can take a cruise on the nearby lake with Windermere Lake Cruises, swing through the trees on zip wires in Grizedale Forest with GoApe or at Brockhole with Tree Top Trek. You can hire a bike from Windermere Canoe Kayak and explore Windermere's west shore from Claife Station to Wray Castle, alternatively you could hire a sit on top kayak and paddle around Belle Isle or a SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board). If you fancy some off road fun you could hire a Land Rover 4x4 from Kankku. If you are feeling a little more cultured you could visit Blackwell, The Arts and Crafts House, or brush up on your literature with a visit to Ruskin's House Brantwood overlooking Coniston Water, Dove Cottage home to internationally renowned poet William Wordsworth or Hill Top, home to children's author Beatrix Potter. You may even choose to catch a show at The Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness or watch a flick at the Royalty Cinema in Bowness. Whatever you decide there's lots to do. Come and meet us! We promise we are friendly!
