Fern Howe Guest House is situated within the picturesque village of Braithwaite, 2.5 miles from the popular market town of Keswick in the beautiful Lake District National Park. Fern Howe is set in the perfect location for families, cyclists, walkers, photographers and artists alike, with the vast array of local attractions on offer. Fern Howe provides high quality accommodation and locally sourced and free range food, drink and toiletries where possible to ensure that guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Due to the elevated position of the property within the village, most guest rooms have views out to the fells of Skiddaw, Latrigg and Blencathra, with the remaining rooms having views out to Fern Howe's garden and red squirrel protected woodland, with the exception of one courtyard view room.

Within the village of Braithwaite are two public houses, two restaurants, two cafes and a shop, all of which are a short walk from the guest house. There are plentiful walks straight from the doorstep, along with mountain bike trails. Keswick town centre is a five minute bus or car ride from the guest house, and there are also walking and cycling routes which can be taken.
