Fern Lodge is a beautiful, comfortable log cabin full of character and charm and provides a true log cabin experience. It is situated on its own 1/4 acre plot in a peaceful woodland setting by a babbling burn, approximately 150 yards from the shore of Loch Awe with a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub and wood burning stove. This well appointed log cabin with a log fired Scandinavian hot tub consists of open plan Lounge, dining area & kitchen, double bedroom, triple bunk room (double bed with single bunk) and family shower room. The lounge and dining area has a high vaulted ceiling and is mainly glazed to maximise the stunning views. Loch Awe is Scotland’s longest loch, 25.47 miles (41km). From the luxury of your log cabin with hot tub you can enjoy beautiful views of this loch and mountains. Loch Awe is renowned for its trout fishing. Salmon pass through the loch, coming past the barrage in the River Awe and continuing into the River Orchy. Loch Awe contains several ruined castles on islands, and at the northern end has one of the most photographed castles in Scotland, Kilchurn Castle, which in summer may be visited by a short boat trip or by a half mile walk from a small car park just after the bridge over the River Orchy. Saint Conan’s Kirk and Chapel of St Fyndoca are located in Loch Awe.
