Welcome to Hamish's Hideaway.. We hope you like the look of our " Little piece of heaven" .. We have designed our Hideaway with Privacy, Relaxation, Peace and Quiet, Luxury, and Your Comfort in the forefront of our minds.
We have just finished the build and opened to the public on the 25th of July 2025, there are still a few little bits to finish off to create to complete "WOW" look that we are aiming for, which should be done in the not so distant future.
Hamish's Hideaway is created from a 40ft shipping container! It was made to our design by an amazing local company called 'Iron and Pine' based in Dalbeattie, Dumfriesshire. Stu and I have done the rest ourselves (mainly Stu) with help from some local contractors , friends and family.
Hamish's Hideaway is set in a field on its own, down the lane that takes you to our small holding called 'Cauldronlea Farm'.
We are very close to Springkell Mansion (Wedding/ Party Venue) ,Eaglesfield ( with a village shop), Kirkpatrick Fleming ( The Station Pub)and Ecclefechan ( Cressfield Country House Hotel).. a little further a field ( 15 mins drive) is Gretna Green and Lockerbie.. Both very famous places.
There are lots of places close by to go for lovely walks or the Lake District is only an hour away for a good hike or just simply admire the views, its a beautiful place to be.
