The studio is in a unique setting, up on a hill beside a flooded quarry. Its south facing French windows entice one to take a morning dip in the spring fed pool. It’s a place where one can be immersed in nature but still have Falmouth and lots more to entertain nearby.

I am a portrait painter, married to a Shipwright, Andrew, who restores old wooden boats. We have three children, Alec, Lydia and Sam, with two dogs and two cats. A text message is a good way to ask for help quickly

The studio is not overlooked and so it is very private, although the far end of the lake is shared with family and friends. Slice restaurant is a 10 minute walk. The village is a short walk through some beautiful woods. You’ll find a renowned liquor store there, a pub, a shop and a charity shop. Another mile walking would take you to The Trengilly Wartha, also highly recommended, and near the river if you want a swim at high tide. The Ferry boat Inn is 10 mins drive, as are Trebah and Glendugan gardens. Falmouth is 15 mins away and buzzing during term time with students, clubs and restaurants. Beaches are 10 mins drive too. The North coast and St Michaels Mount are 35 mins drive.
