We are a family‑run business, and our glamping site has been welcoming guests since 2012. We genuinely enjoy meeting the people who stay with us and sharing our farm, our livestock, and the peaceful surroundings. Wildlife, sustainability, and responsible travel are at the heart of what we do. We aim to live lightly on the land and follow a regenerative tourism ethos, ensuring our site supports the environment rather than impacts it. Many of our guests return year after year to enjoy the tranquillity of our rural setting. Despite the peaceful atmosphere, we’re within easy walking distance of our friendly local pub, the Tally Ho Inn in Littlehempston, and just 3 miles from the vibrant market town of Totnes.

We offer self‑catering glamping holidays in one of our four yurts or in our quirky shepherd’s hut. On this platform, the yurts and the shepherd’s hut appear as separate rooms because this platform doesn’t provide specific categories for yurts or shepherds_huts. Our Mongolian yurts each have full‑sized, comfortable beds with bedding provided. They include wood‑burning stoves, outdoor seating with fire pits, and access to communal bathrooms with hot water, hot showers, flushing toilets, and solar lighting. We also offer free superfast WiFi. For guests who like a few home comforts, we have a shared kitchen area with fridges, an air fryer, toaster, electric kettle, and power points for charging devices. Electricity use carries a small extra charge, though seasoned campers often find they don’t need it. There is plenty of parking in our private car park. Because this platform uses generic accommodation descriptions, our yurts may appear as “tents” and the shepherd’s hut as a standard “room.” If you specifically want to stay in a yurt, you can choose from three types: 2‑person yurt 4‑person yurt 6‑person yurt The shepherd’s hut includes a double bed and two bunk beds and is priced lower than the 4‑person yurt. For wildlife enthusiasts, Hemsford is a true haven, rich in wild birds, flora, and fauna. Many visitors are treated to wonderful views over our lake, where barn owls, deer, foxes, and bats are often spotted in the surrounding fields. It’s a place where nature feels close, calm, and very much alive.
