Holly cottage is an old cottage with a modern west wing for 4 guests. In centre of Danby village in north york moors. Near the station, pub, bakery, and national park centre. Walks from the doorstep into the spectacular countryside guided walks available www,hollycottageforagingretreat.co.uk Quiet and peaceful location.Full of character and old beams. Efficient heating, simple kitchen, large living room, shower room, large bedroom, and mezzanine. Pottery and spa treatments are available by request. Moorland guide available and foraging walks. 10 mins to nearest beach, Whitby 25 mins drive or beautiful scenic train ride, York 1 hour drive. Scenic moorland and villages. The Ryedale folk museum is nearby and the information centre 10 mins walk at National Park Moors centre. 20 mins drive to Whitby. Beaches 10 mins drive .moorland and woodland walks from doorstep .
Welcome to Holly Cottage in Danby. We offer a warm welcome and personal touches. We can offer pottery sessions and moorland walking, including foraging walks. Driving tours available. We love sharing this beautiful area with visitors and can provide information during your stay, and local knowledge of good places to eat and visit Near the excellent Stonehouse bakery and Health shop.Easy walk to several country pubs, including The Duke of Wellington . The National Park centre is a 10 min walk from the cottage,a useful tourist information centre, gallery and cafe.
