Kernot Cottage consists of reverse-level accommodation with two ground-floor bedrooms, including a double and a single, along with a ground-floor bathroom featuring a bath with shower over, basin, and WC. The first floor hosts an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge with ice box, alongside a dining area and a sitting area with an open fire and TV. Electric heating, WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request. Outside, there is allocated parking for one car and access to communal gardens with patio furniture, a large field, and a tennis court. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. The pretty, ever-popular village of Reeth rests at the northern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where Arkengarthdale and Swaledale meet, nestled between Calver Hill, Fremington Edge and Harkerside. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with lovely rolling hills and spectacular views, Reeth boasts a colourful history as it was originally a Saxon settlement, and has also been known as a lead mining town and a centre for hand knitting throughout its time. Both trades are proudly featured in the Swaledale Museum, located alongside a good range of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. For a quaint little community, Reeth is well-served by traditional inns, with three to choose from, including the lovely Buck Hotel, whitewashed like so many of the 18th century cottages huddled around the triangular village green. The historic market towns of Richmond and Leyburn are also within easy reach, offering a further selection of amenities. Askrigg is just a short drive away, as well as Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft). Reeth offers a fantastic base for exploring North Yorkshire's beautiful, sweeping countryside, whether you choose to discover the caves, cliffs, waterfalls or the plethora of walking and cycling routes that circle this vibrant and varied landscape.
