King Ina’s Palace, is a 14th-century manor house, so named because it was reputedly built on the site of a hunting lodge of King Ina of Wessex (688 to 726). Built by Sir Giles Daubeny in 1485, it's in the middle of the village, yet hidden by walls and the acreage.
