Horning village, a picturesque broadland village with riverside inns, restaurants, a selection of small shops and tea shops, is just within a few minutes’ walk. One of the best ways to explore this magnificent waterway is by boat, with daily boat hire and trips along the river available from in the village. A paddle steamer cruises up and down the Broads, taking in the beautiful scenery and abundance of wildlife. Held during summer are several boat races and a week-long regatta where you can enjoy all the boating action from one of the many pubs or restaurants situated along the riverbank. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted with the numerous opportunities nearby, so be sure to bring your fishing rods. For those seeking a more active holiday, the marina and leisure club welcomes visitors who wish to enjoy water sports, or there are plenty of walks and cycle tracks that take you through the village and into the surrounding countryside and nature reserve.
