A special place to stay. Setting is great with direct access to forest and outdoors. it has great views to the Monoliath Mountains, short drive to Aviemore and Loch Insh. We love the feature fireplace wall and the spiral staircase. Recently we have upgraded the landing area at the top of the stairs with an L shade sofa bed and set it up as a flexible space for two guest to sleep or just chill out area if the house is not to capacity. We would love you to bring your dogs but ask you to not leave them alone nor allow them on furniture or in bedrooms. We also have an EV Charger which requires paymennt for use. Please ask at time of booking for up to date pricing.

We have tried to create properties where our guests have a lovely home to stay in and make memories. Hopefully a special place to come home to after sight seeing or ski-ing or whatever your activity is where you can relax and feel at home but away from your everyday life. WE especially love coming back to the hot ub and sauna after an active day out or a long hike with the dogs.

The lodge sits on the edge of a forest with miles of foot and bike paths and trails. There is so much to do in the area, just Google things to do in Aviemore to see what I mean :-) There is an abundance of outdoor activities at Loch Insh and also in Aviemore and surrounding areas from munro bagging, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, padddle boarding, open water swimming, the list is long....... The wildlife park is a great place to visit as is the folk museum. The restaurants, cafes and pubs in the area are all unique and I would suggest you try a few for food or just coffee and cake. Sometimes you will find live music in the Suie Bar or in the bars in Aviemore.
