Kirkton Rest is nestled within a converted 18/19th century farmstead built around an attractive courtyard, commanding an elevated position above the Clyde village of Cardross. Only 18 miles west of Glasgow and 15 miles from Glasgow Airport, the location offers an easily accessible country base for the airport, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Glasgows Burrell Collection, and the main route to the West Highlands and Islands. The locality has myriad scenic, historical, and architectural points of interest. the 12th century Kirkton Chapel is at the end of the drive. Geilston Gardens (National Trust) are just one mile away. Rennie Macintosh's Hill House is four miles away in Helensburgh. There are pleasant walks in the immediate countryside; including a section of The John Muir Way which commands a spectacular view of Loch Lomond!
