Our ground floor Deluxe Room comes with a private Courtyard Garden and has an extra bed available for a child up to the age of 16 (additional charge) . Our first floor Deluxe King Room has a Juliet window and an extra single bed available for a child up to age16 (additional charge). COTS - For the quiet comfort of all guests, we ONLY permit cots / babies in the family suite- please let us know if you require a cot prior to arrival, although we do request that you bring your own sheets for this. The Deluxe Suite room is enormous and has a king size bed and two singles for children up to 16 years of age (additional charge), family bathroom, sofa area, and large Juliet window overlooking lake. ALL ROOMS NOW HAVE KING SIZE BEDS AS STANDARD. Please add single beds / cot when you book so that we can reserve for you. We are a few minutes walk from the beach, the golf course and the Ancient Mariners pub. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine and enjoy on the decking next to the lake or in the guest lounge. The lake is securely fenced off with a balustrade handrail. We have a resident family of white ducks which you are welcome to feed after breakfast.

Lakeside is in a unique location in the beautiful 12th Century village of Old Hunstanton, situated just minutes walk from the beach, the golf club and the long distance coastal path, and enjoys a unique position in secluded peaceful grounds next to a lake (originally the reservoir providing the nearby town of Hunstanton with its water, the house being the original pumping station built in the late 1800s). The lake is frequented by a large number of birds and has its own resident flock of delightful white ducks. Swifts, swallows and house martins can be seen on a daily basis in the summer dipping into the lake for a drink, with frequent bird sightings including kingfishers, moorhens, red kites and buzzards, to name but a few. A large decked area sits to the rear of the house with a boardwalk running the length of the lake (some 50 metres). Chairs and tables are available for the exclusive use of guests, and there is a small lawned area next to the gravelled car park. A number of mature trees surround the lake and premises. The property backs on to a corn field to the rear. All rooms have large TV, kettle, tea and coffee, "duck island" toiletries and lovely cotton laundry.

Facing west across the sea, the village occupies a beautiful position on the Norfolk coast, running alongside a lovely golden sandy beach. Stunning multi-coloured sunsets views mirrored by the sea can be seen regularly throughout the year. Visitors to the area often choose to watch this spectacle sitting by the dunes accompanied with friends , a picnic hamper and a bottle of wine... or two. Old Hunstanton Championship Golf Club is considered to be among the best courses in the UK and runs parallel to the beach to Holme where 18 holes can be enjoyed alongside stunning views of the Norfolk Coastline. Walking south along the beach takes you to the Cliffs, whilst a north easterly route will take you to the small coastal village of Holme. Various beautiful Norfolk villages are a short drive away, including Ringstead, Burnham Market and Wells-next-the Sea. There are some beautiful walks, including the long distance coastal path & Peddars Way, and cycling is very popular in the area. A number of lovely pubs and restaurants are situated in the village.
