Our Guest House in Whitby is an ideal base for discovering the coast, the North Yorkshire Moors, and the narrow streets of this delightful historic town. There is something for everyone and we hope your stay with us will be a pleasant one. We offer room only accommodation, allowing our guests the opportunity to have a lie-in and experience the vast array of cafe's and restaurants within the town, at their own leisure. Lavinia house was built in the 1850's, and although retaining its character and features of the original dwelling it offers the comfort and standards expected in a well modernised guest house. The house is ideally situated at the top of the Khyber Pass and enjoys fantastic sea views, is close to all local amenities, only a short stroll into town or down to the beach and offers friendly, relaxed hospitality to all guests.

There is an abundance of local attractions and things to do within the area that suits people of all ages. Whitby Abbey, Whitby Pavillion, Whitby Town open top bus tour (seasonal), Whitby Museum, Pannett Park, Whitby boat trips, 199 Whitby Abbey steps, Whitby brewery, Fortunes Kippers, Whitby Sands, Whitby Jet Heritage Centre, Falling Foss tea garden, Esk Valley Railway, Goathland (Heartbeat) to name but a few. There is also a vast array of cafes, takeaways, eateries and pubs, all within walking distance of our Guest House.
