Linden Studio is in the heart of the beautiful village of Rothbury. Open the front door and the village green is in front of you. There are four pubs within walking distance, each with their own rural charm. At any given night you may stumble upon an impromptu folk session with musicians enjoying a musical get together. At Linden Studio you are in the thick of things but also quietly removed. There is a courtyard, which is a peaceful sun trap. Many beautiful walks are on your doorstep. The river is 200 yards away. Take a short ramble or an all day hike, but do stop en route at a country pub. The cottage is fully equipped and has a slipper bath in the bedroom, and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to enjoy whilst you soak. You will sleep soundly in our super king bed with crisp cotton linen. We allow one well behaved dog, with the proviso that they are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. Please bring your own cage if necessary. Our towels are white and soft cotton, so please bring your own dog towel. A second dog can be accommodated at an additional cost. I have lived and work in the village for the last 30 years . I feel privileged to call Rothbury my home, playing in the infamous Rothbury Highland Pipe Band . I have a keen interest in local history and wildlife , hillwalking and fishing

The ancient market town in upper Coquetdale lies at the foot of the Simonside hills. Rothbury is the perfect base for walking and exploring local history. Just outside Rothbury is Cragside , the Victorian stately home of the industrialist Sir William Armstrong. At nearby Lordenshaw hill there are prehistoric rock carvings, with evidence of ancient hill forts and Roman fortifications.
