The Space The space represents a stylish stay in a coastal city apartment, near to Portsmouth. Enjoy a relaxing break in this newly refurbished apartment, set in the heart of Southsea, a vibrant coastal city rich in history, culture, and sea air! Ideal for couples, creatives, or friends sharing, this artistic space which offers comfort, character and a welcoming home-from-home feel. This cute, boutique apartment sleeps up to 2 guests (with optional accommodation for a third). It consists of a comfortable double bedroom, separated from the living area by a curtain for privacy and a relaxed living room with sofa bed (ideal for two people sharing the accommodation or suitable for a third guest for an additional supplement). Parking On-street parking is available via visitor permits. One permit is included with each night of your booking (additional permits are available for a small cost). Why we love hosting We love hosting because we enjoy creating a calm, creative space by the sea where guests can truly relax. The apartment is designed to feel welcoming, thoughtfully styled, and quietly special -an ideal place to rest while enjoying the city and all it has to offer. One of us is a full-time fine artist, curator, and street artist, while the other works as a business analyst and furniture restorer.Creativity and care sit at the heart of how the space has been shaped. Restored furniture, original artwork, and considered design choices come together to create a place with warmth, character, and a sense of individuality.

The beach, independent shops, cafés, music venues, and Kings Theatre are all close enough to enjoy on foot, making it easy to leave the car behind once you arrive. Gunwharf Quays is nearby for outlet shopping, waterside restaurants, bars, cinemas, and harbour views, while Albert Road offers a more independent mix of live music, vintage finds, small galleries, and local nightlife. We’re also ideally positioned for travel links. The continental ferry terminal offers easy crossings to France and Spain, while the Isle of Wight ferry is close by for day trips or longer stays. Portsmouth Harbour station provides direct rail connections to London, and Southampton Airport can be reached in around 30–40 minutes by car, making the apartment a convenient base for both coastal breaks and onward travel. As well as our seafront and the Historic Dockyard, here are some of our favourites. For art and creativity, The Corner Collective and Aspex Portsmouth are well worth a visit. Both champion contemporary practice and reflect the city’s strong, grassroots creative scene. For coffee and casual daytime bites, Southsea Coffee Co and Southsea Deli are firm local favourites — relaxed, friendly, and ideal for breakfast or a late lunch. When it comes to eating out, Desi and Carter & Co offer reliable, well-loved dining options, whether you’re after something vibrant or more laid-back. For a traditional pub atmosphere, locals gravitate towards The Phoenix, The Barley Mow, and The Lawrence Arms — all characterful spots with a strong sense of place. As a working artist, I can also occasionally offer creative experiences for guests, subject to availability, including spray-can workshops, informal street art tours, and decorative floral chinoiserie painting sessions.
