Everything about the cottage was fantastic, super cute, and cosy. It also had all the basics needed from day to day which was an added bonus (salt, pepper, kitchen tissues, etc.) And complimentary wine which was a lovely touch!

The Little Cottage was built in 1776 by Sir Richard Arkwright as the storeroom for his village shop. It was carefully converted into what you see now and is a Grade II listed building in the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site of Cromford. On the ground floor is an open plan living area, with breakfast bar, kitchen and feature stone fireplace. Ladder-style stairs lead to the first floor where will you will find a king-size bed and ample storage with an en-suite shower room and toilet. There is no outside space with the property, but it is surrounded by the most stunning landscape of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. There is ample free parking on North Street.
We hope that you will enjoy your stay in The Little Cottage, it is our UK home which we visit often and enjoy every minute we spend there. We hope you enjoy the little extras that we provide for you and wish you a very pleasant stay.
Cromford is part of the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site because of its importance to the industrial revolution. You can visit both of Sir Richard Arkwright’s cotton mills and stroll along the picturesque Cromford canal where the cotton arrived and departed. A short walk will take you into Matlock Bath, Black Rocks and the High Peak Trail. By car you can visit the majestic Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. You have the whole of the Peak Districk on your doorstep so come and enjoy beautiful Derbyshire.
