The Lodge operates as a welcoming haven for cyclists, walkers and guests keen to explore the breathtaking scenery and rich heritage of the Angus Glens. While we do not offer formal evening dining at the Lodge, complimentary teas and coffees are available, along with a complimentary self-serve breakfast for residents. On site, The Wandering Bear Café provides a relaxed space to enjoy a quirky brunch menu and a tempting selection of homemade baking, all freshly prepared. Guests can also make use of our small on-site farm shop, offering local produce and food items perfectly suited for cooking in the residents kitchen. Adding to the experience, a fresh fish and chips Airstream van is onsite every other weekend, and we occasionally host monthly pop-up dining events for guests to enjoy something a little special. The Lodge and Café are owned, run and hosted by Lauren and Calum, who make, bake and serve everything fresh on site, creating a warm and personal stay for every guest.

The Lodge sits beside the stunning inland loch within Lintrathen Nature Reserve and is a fabulous destination for cyclists, walkers, fishers, or those who just want to relax in tranquil comfort. Our accommodation is warm, welcoming, luxurious and relaxing with all of the modern amenities that you require and more. A lodge that offers you the flexibility of a free self serve breakfast, or brunch at the Wee Bear Cafe, Lodge at Lochside provides the setting and ambience to immediately transport you from thoughts of work and chores. Door-stepping the countryside, beautiful walks and cycle routes are available from our front door. Leave your car in our traditionally cobbled car- park and be prepared to explore! Our 5 bedrooms provide all of the comfort expected of a quality establishment but also a unique rustic charm. The relaxing ambience is no more noticeable than downstairs in our award winning cafe, Wee Bear Cafe. Music, books, games and conversation are always available.
