Osprey, the 'end cottage' in a row of three properties ('The Longhouse Cottages'), is an ideal rural holiday accommodation for up to 5 guests. The downstairs bedroom has a King size double bed. Upstairs there is a family room with 3 single beds. On request we can provide a travel cot, stair gate and high chair for families who require them. Osprey has a walk in shower and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. The cottages have free WiFi and there is excellent 4G reception in the area. We are enthusiastic about our local area, the Black Isle, and would like to welcome you to use the Longhouse Cottages as an ideal base for exploring the immediate area, with opportunities for bird and wildlife spotting, visits down a steep winding cliff path to the secluded beach, and walking in well established and regenerating woodland. There are Highland cows and Hebridean sheep in the fields close by, with great photo opportunities. A great place to get away from it all and spend some time in nature, the Longhouse Cottages are situated in a secluded area of the Black Isle in the Highlands of Scotland, with magnificent views over the Moray Firth, home to the famous resident population...
We take pride in providing quality holiday accommodation that meets and exceeds the expectations of our guests. Although in a rural area, benefitting from nature, peace and tranquillity, we're not far from the bright lights of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands (less than 30minutes by car) so are conveniently located for short breaks. We welcome diversity and especially embrace the foreign visitors who have managed to find their way to our unique corner of Scotland!
The Longhouse Cottages are set in a secluded rural environment, surrounded by small working farms that offer quality local produce for sale. Thanks to the property's elevated position guests enjoy breath-taking views south over the the Moray Firth. We offer great access to beautiful native woodland and a direct path down to nearby sandy beaches (15mins walk) - making the Longhouse Cottages a favourite for holiday-makers who are looking for peace, quiet and tranquillity in natural surroundings.
