We are confident that your stay at Lottes cottage will create some incredible memories that will be cherished for years to come. We present you with a 3 bedroom cottage located on the Tarka trail and is close to many shops, restaurants and importantly…beaches! For cyclists this is ideally located on The Tarka Trail (Directly outside the property front door on the right). This in the longest traffic free cycling and walking route in the UK stretching for 180 miles. There’s more information about cycling routes on the Tarka Trail website The cottage itself boasts a fully working kitchen complete with appliances, a cosy lounge and the garden hosting a bbq, pizza oven, sun loungers and fire pit. Upstairs is home to two double bedrooms and a snug with 2 children’s beds (please note stairs to children’s beds is quite tight). These beds are not suitable for elderly or infirmed guests as they are low to the floor. In addition recent modernisation (Dec 2024), has seen the bath removed to make way for a walk-in shower. Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis. This is situated within an 2 minute walk down some cobbled steps that takes you over the tarka trail where you will see Lotte’s cottage situated. To get to this point… go up Station Hill which is situated directly opposite the old bridge… then take the next sharp left turn up Chudleigh Rd to find a space leading up to the garages where you will see the steps leading down to the cottage. These steps/ hill maybe challenging for some.. it’s a typical Devon quirky 2 minute walk.

When opening Lotte’s cottage it was my intention for Family’s to step away from Social Media and the internet to enjoy some good old fashioned family time.. No Tv focal point in the living area but jokes, games, pizza making or a good old BBQ to bring the family together. A TV is in the loft room area if it is needed throughout your stay on a possible rainy day.. Perhaps on the other hand.. get your wellies on and make some new memories.

In and around Bideford there are plenty of things to do! Lottes cottage is directly located on the Tarka trail, a popular 180 mile route for cyclists and walkers. We are also centred around many beaches including Westward-Ho! (7 minute drive), Instow (7 minute drive), Saunton sands (29 minute drive), Croyde Bay (37 minute) and Woolacombe (37 minute). Lottes cottage is located directly on Bideford’s Estuary which is home to many cafes, pubs, restaurants and events.
