This six-bedroom sandstone manor near Shifnal in Shropshire sleeps 12 guests and sits down a private gravel drive. Set in rolling countryside, it is a historic period property suited to large families and groups wanting space and quiet. All six bedrooms have double beds, including a grand four-poster with its own period fireplace, armchairs and soft carpet. Two bedrooms have en-suites, and four bathrooms in total serve the house, one with a freestanding clawfoot tub, a separate corner shower, twin basins and an original tiled fireplace. The living room has striped sofas, a wood floor, a cast-iron open fire, a crystal chandelier and a wall-mounted Smart TV with Netflix. The farmhouse kitchen has a slate-tiled floor, an exposed beam, a wooden island, a wine rack, a washing machine and a glass dining table seating the whole group. As a building of this age, it has characterful quirks throughout, including original fireplaces and uneven floors, and stairs lead to the upper-floor bedrooms and bathrooms with no lift. Self check-in is available via a keypad at the front door, with instructions sent before arrival. Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome at an additional charge. Free on-site parking is available for up to six cars, inside or outside the metal gates.
