The property is located in the heart of Irvine's historical harbour which was one of the most important ports in Scotland in the 18th & 19th century. The property was once used as a hostelry for carters who would transport goods from Irvine's harbour to Glasgow and surrounding areas using horse & cart. It is now a family run guest house managed mainly by Andrew Junior. Some rooms in the guest house benefit from spectacular harbour and sea views and the Isle of Arran can even be seen on clear days. Irvine harbour boasts a great range of restaurants, cafes and an award winning ice cream parlour! The beach is a mere 10 minute walk from the property along the quayside. Towards the opposite end of the harbour you will find the Rivergate Shopping Centre & Irvine Train Station with connections to Glasgow. Free public parking is available on site. There is also a cycle route to Troon which is great for a family day out. The Maritime Museum is also within walking distance. There is something for everyone in Irvine!
