Marmalade is a light and airy Victorian house – with a car park – located in an easily accessible part of Torquay, only about twelve minutes' walk from the sea past Torre Abbey. Guest rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated. All are ensuite and well stocked with good quality refreshments and toiletries. Desktop Fridges in each room. We have two larger rooms Clementine and Bergamot with spacious bathrooms and a smaller room Seville. All three bedrooms have King Size beds and TV`s. Suzy will cook you anything you would like for breakfast and times are flexible to suit you. There is always fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, juices as well as the usual full English, or smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, or tasty waffles with maple syrup. Its your choice. Suzy and Paul will suggest restaurants and things to do while you are staying at Marmalade. We also have a very flexible check out policy. We let you check out at your leisure as we have made a conscious decision to not have guests coming in to your room on the same day. You can take your time. We hope you have a lovely stay.

We have been musicians all our working lives and look forward to welcoming you to our bed and breakfast, looking after you and finding out about your lives and families. We have recently taken over Marmalade and will be upgrading as necessary. Having lived in Torquay since the 1980`s we can help you with deciding the best places to visit and how to get there.

We are perfectly located for easy access to gorgeous beaches and coves, rugged hills, Dartmoor and many stunning Victorian and Edwardian buildings. Whatever your reason for coming to the lovely English Riviera, we aim to enrich your stay. Torre station is a short walk away from Marmalade and the train will take you to Paignton (for Dartmouth on the Steam Railway and ferry) , Newton Abbot, Exeter, Exmouth, Teignmouth and Dawlish which means you can leave your car in the Car Park. There is a ferry to Brixham which takes about 20 minutes or so. By far the easiest way to get there.
