Rooms at the Meadfoot have free WiFi, TV’s and central heating. They also include baths, showers and tea/coffee making facilities. The dining room has patio doors leading onto a balcony with spectacular garden views. Sometimes deer can be seen roaming around the property's grounds. There is also secure bicycle storage with a pressure washer to clean your bicycle after a days' riding. Windermere Train Station is a 5-minute drive from the guest house. The town center has a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafes.

Meadfoot guest house, was originally constructed in 1968 for a local Vet and comprised of a house, flat and a surgery. In 1983 it was converted to create a guest house of unique character and charm. Meadfoot Guest House is an adults-only guest house ensuring that your stay will be tranquil. Although close to this bustling and lively Lake District village, Meadfoot is a detached guest house in Windermere set in its own grounds and has an almost secluded nature. In addition to the private car park there is a large garden with pond.. Sometimes Deer can be seen wandering in the grounds.

Meadfoot Guest House in Windermere is ideally situated to take advantage of all that the English Lake District has to offer. For those with a love of the outdoors, there are countless walks amidst the beautiful lakes and mountains, water sports, pony trekking, cycling, golf, tennis, fishing, etc. (Meadfoot Guest House has a drying room for water sport enthusiasts and walkers). There are stately homes and gardens, quaint villages and lovely shops to visit and a wide variety of excellent restaurants and pubs. To simplify touring a number of local companies provide Lake District coach trips with a choice of lakes tours and places of interest to visit
