Monkland Cottage has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard providing luxury self catering accommodation. Originally built for the Monkland House coachman in 1896, it is situated in the grounds of the main house and is attached to the original stables creating a private, sheltered courtyard ideal for outdoor dining. There is a spacious open plan sitting, dining area with a welcoming wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and under floor heating. The cottage sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms all finished to a very high standard with large comfortable beds, high quality mattresses, luxury bedding, dressing gowns, slippers and hairdryers. Bedroom 1 has a Super King Size Zip & Link bed which can be split into twin beds. Bedroom 2 has a King Size bed and Bedroom 3 is open plan with a King Size bed. There is a modern family bathroom with toilet, bath and over bath shower as well as a separate luxury shower room with large rain shower and sink. There is also a second toilet/cloakroom attached to the cottage which has access from the courtyard. Both the family bathroom and the shower room have under floor heating, heated towel rails, luxury towels and toiletries. WiFi is available throughout the property and there is on site parking for 2 cars and on-street parking for any additional vehicles.

Nairn provides an ideal base to explore the wider Highlands, a natural playground which begs to be explored. It’s also a great starting point for the North Coast 500. The cottage is ideally situated in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of most amenities. Less than a 10 minute walk will take you to Nairn Beach, a wonderful, award winning beach with quirky outdoor cafes, a children's splashpad, playpark, crazy golf, putting and indoor swimming pool. Paddle boarding and wild sea swimming is becoming ever more popular here too. Tennis and squash courts are also available only an 8 minute walk away. Nairn is a golfer’s paradise with Monkland Cottage only a few minutes drive to 2 stunning links courses, Nairn Golf Club and Nairn Dunbar. Castle Stuart is a 15 minute drive and many others a 30 to 45 minute drive. Visit nearby Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness. Take a whisky distillery tour or simply relax and take advantage of the superb locally sourced food and drinks. There are fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes, both indoor and outdoor also within easy walking distance. There is something for everyone with an amazing choice of culture, history, architecture, scenery and activities.
