Jane and I took over the Montfort Cottage Guest House in November 2018 we enjoy our business and love our cosy cottage. We have had a great start to our new venture and hope it may continue for many years to come. We offer a lovely clean room which is warm & comfortable and you wont be dissapointed with our well know breakfast. All our produce is sauced locally from the award winning Yew Tree Farm. Family and friends are most important to us, as is our business and guests.

Montfort Cottage is a lovely Victorian mid-terraced cottage that has a lovely character and built from local Lake district granite/slate in 1900. Although it appears small from the outside, there are large rooms inside. We always give a warm welcome.

Neighborhood info

Monfort Cottage is located midway between Windermere & Bowness both within a 10 minute walk and Lake Windermere its self is less than a Mile away. Windermere/Bowness is a great base in which to discover the Lakes. We love walking on the nearby fells and taking in the breath-taking views. Our other pastime is eating out and we have an abundance of eateries within easy walking distance.
