Moorview House B & B is a completely refurbished former farm house situated within the North Devon Biosphere. Ideally situated on a 1-acre plot with far reaching views over open countryside. Guests are free to roam in the paddock and relax in the small copse to listen to the array of birdsong and experience the peace and tranquility. There are various outside areas with tables and chairs for outside dining, or just watching the sunset whilst sipping a lovely hot chocolate or glass of wine! Our comfortable interior designed rooms are designed for privacy, we do not have a resident’s lounge or dining room. Get a great nights sleep on our super comfy beds with quality linen (the deluxe King has a Tempur memory foam mattress). Moorview House is ideally placed for exploring the North Devon coast. We are only 3 miles from Bideford , also known as the “Little White Town”, which is situated on the River Torridge. In the other direction you have the pretty town of Great Torrington which is also home to The Royal Horticultural Society’s Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Glass and the 1646 civil war heritage Center. For walkers and cyclists there are many country lanes to explore plus we are close to The famous Tarka Trial which offers 180 miles of walks and cycle routes with stunning scenery. For keen fishermen, we have the 1.5 acre Tarka Swims lake at Gammaton - a first class mixed fishery, within 2 minutes walk and of course, the sea. For surfers we are within a short drive to the popular surfing spots of Westward Ho!, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough Sands. There are 2 local pubs, The Hunters Inn and The Cyder Presse within a few minutes drive and an array of restaurants and bars in nearby Bideford. There is a farm shop at the end of the lane which offers a full range of local produce. The market town of Barnstaple with its listed Pannier market is within a scenic 20-minute drive.
