We also have a shop front on the High Street in Elie should you wish to pop in for a chat. Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary but will otherwise leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with full arrival instructions and all the information you need to check in at your leisure. Check-in is from 4pm, unless one of our early check-in options has been purchased. Check-out is strictly 10am, unless a late check-out option has been added to your booking. Check-in is via a secure key box; you will receive your unique key box code 7 days prior to arrival. Self-Contained Ground-Floor Coastguard Cottage with Sea Views, Two Minutes from Elie's Harbour Beach | Sleeps 4. Set just a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour beach and the famous Ship Inn, this self-contained lower cottage forms the ground floor of one of the original detached coastguard houses — a charming coastal base with lovely sea views from the front windows. Newly repainted outside with fresh double-glazed windows (2023), it's a relaxed, no-fuss hideaway that puts you right by the water. Two bedrooms make the cottage a great choice for families or friends, sleeping up to 4 guests. Inside, there's plenty of space to drop bags and kick off sandy shoes in the sizeable porch, which is also ideal for storing wet-weather gear, golf clubs and beach kit. The bright living room has comfy modern sofas (new covers in 2023), a 32" Smart TV and a gas coal fire for cosy evenings in, along with a neat pull-out dining table for shared meals. While there's no private garden, you do have an exterior bench at the front — perfect for watching the light change over the water — and with the beach just moments away, the shoreline effectively becomes your extended back garden.

Elie is a charming seaside village in the East Neuk of Fife, known for its sweeping golden beaches, pretty harbour and relaxed holiday atmosphere. Award-winning sands stretch from Elie Harbour to Earlsferry, creating almost a mile of safe, family-friendly shoreline that’s perfect for swimming, paddling and long coastal walks. The sheltered bay is a hub for watersports, with sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing all available from Elie Harbour and Elie Watersports. Golfers are spoiled with the classic links of The Golf House Club, Elie on the doorstep, while the wider East Neuk offers a string of picturesque villages such as St Monans, Pittenweem, Crail and Anstruther to explore, and St Andrews is around 20 minutes’ drive away for further shopping, dining and world-famous courses.
