One of 797 reviews:
"For history buffs, Dunfermline is a must visit location. The Abbey is the resting place for Robert the Bruce and really is the location for the early history of Scotland with Margaret, David and William Wallace. Recommend visiting early in your historical journey through Scotland or last as we did to complete your understanding of Scottish history. The town is nice, too. Plenty of restaurants. Easy to navigate. Great place to stay the night before your flight from EDI."

"St Andrews is a beautiful little town with a lot of good places to eat , picturesque landscapes and tons of Scottish history cramped into a small place . The present of the University of St Andrews gives the town a young and fresh face among the historical old buildings. Three days gives every visitor plenty of time to explore the city. Definitely can recommend the Castle Museum which has very willing museum workers , who can answer every question with a wealth of information regarding the history of this place. Also the Wardlaw Museum ,just a few steps down from the Castle Museum ,can definitely be recommended. It features details of the University of St Andrews - their traditions, their history and their educational tools over the centuries."

"Kirkcaldy is a good place for access to Edinburgh, Fife and The East Neuk. It has its own charm, but the town centre is quite run down. Take the bus to the nearby beaches, or right up to the beautiful villages of East Neuk. There are a couple of good curry houses on the High Street, I liked The Prince especially. The older streets away from the High Street and the Parks are quite lovely, and the museum and gallery are good."

I was in a room on the second floor at an adjacent building from the main building of this hotel complex. There were 4 rooms on the 2nd floor accessible by stairs. The bed was comfortable and there was a separate bathroom in the room with a bathtub. There was a plexiglass protecting the one side of the bathtub to prevent water from splashing out. The hot water was plentiful, and the water pressure was very good. The breakfast was typical Scottish style breakfast and was excellent. It was freshly cooked on the spot and the coffee was made on order (machine made and tasty!) The complex is right next to the Drumoig golf course and there was a deal for a "stay and play" which was very attractive in terms of pricing.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area, and the property itself was very fancy, with elegant decor and a luxurious atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well maintained, with all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help and make our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was exceptional — fresh, delicious, and offering a wide variety to start the day perfectly. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would be thrilled to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable experience.

Loved the little lounge facing out to the sea. Our meal at the restaurant was delicious and again the staff were great. We will certainly come back again and recommend to our family and friends.

A magic place with wonderful kind people.

A magic place with wonderful kind people. I was offered help on my bus for the direction of the place, the lady in the street was so lovely, and the two young men who were with their school camp program, and literally every person in the street was smiling. What a charming place. Oh I also see an elegant beautiful mother with her beautiful children in pretty dresses and outfit in the street like out of a film. What a lovely lovely scene. It was also impressive to see these gentleman with their golf things everywhere. I was impressed to see a gentleman coming onto the bus with a suitcase on a trolley, a rucksack, and with a 1.5 metre long golf bag! How he managed them all at once, I don't know. But isn't it wonderful to see a man like that! Truly a man hahaha, so strong and healthy. I even took a photo of these things on the bus without the man's face. But I dont' have time to put it here :) I came to St Andrews for a Scottish Country Dance and didn't have time to see anything except the view in front of my room. What a view! love it.

Dunfermline is a beautiful town with the lovely Pittencrief Park, the Abbey, Andrew Carnegie Museum and many more attractions. It is busy enough to enjoy yourself and quiet enough to get some rest if needed. The High Street has many charity shops to browse. It was a pleasure to watch the parade of Dunfermline Bagpipers through the town and enjoy their music.

A Lovely Stay in Rosyth.

A Lovely Stay in Rosyth. Lindsay is a thoughtful and attentive host who always has useful tips to hand — whether for sightseeing or getting to grips with the local public transport, which can sometimes be a little hard to navigate. She takes great care to prepare a full breakfast for all her guests, and as a vegan I was really pleased by how easily she catered to my needs each morning. Whenever I came back from a day out, there was a cup of tea waiting and a friendly chat about ideas for the next day. A lovely touch after a long day of exploring. The location is very convenient — Edinburgh is around 30 minutes by train, with a return ticket at just £7.20. St Andrews is also easily reachable and well worth a trip. The house is clean and well kept, and my single room, though on the smaller side, was comfortable and felt like a proper home away from home. A great choice for anyone looking for a welcoming, well-connected base in Fife.
