Idyllic spot for a Spring breakaway. The wigwam was cosy and well equipped. We could take our pet and enjoy a campfire, which was a big plus! Really enjoyed exploring nearby Elie beach, enjoying Janettas' ice cream at Pittenweem harbour, and having the tastiest fish and chips in Anstruther.

This is an absolutely lovely guest house. I had a very comfortable bed and excellent porridge for breakfast (there were more solid breakfast options, I just love oatmeal and this one was very decent). The cafe, beach, bus station and railway station are all within a short walk.

I wasn’t really there to visit Leven, I have friends in Methilhill. The Promenade was not looking great as it’s all construction work at present. The weather was bitterly cold and stormy! Lovely beach for when the warmer weather comes.

Like every other town, the high street is in decline.

Like every other town, the high street is in decline. We wanted to travel to other nearby towns and were lucky we had beautiful weather and enjoyed the lovely scenery. We went to Anstruther for wonderful fish and chips. The first time we’ve had a smoked haddock supper and also battered prawns which were cooked to perfection. We went to the Bank bar another day, lovely surroundings and excellent food. We also went to St Andrews for a morning.

I liked it because it is a seaside town with lots of social amenities at or close to the High Street, including adjacent train and bus stations, a heated indoor swimming pool and gymnasium and sports center, several pubs, cafes and coffee bars,, and free car parks next to or close to the seaside and High Street.

Leven is on the train line now, about an hour from Edinburgh. It's a bit of a one-horse town with only 1 restaurant open after 8pm, apart from a 60s style steak-house. If you're vegetarian, vegan, or lactose intolerant you're going to have problems eating in the evening.

Great menu with plenty of options & the food was lovely. Property is right next to the beach front & easy walking distance to the town centre. Beautiful house, very clean with big airy rooms & good beds. Proprietors are very welcoming, friendly & accomodating...and also very helpful with local information. The nearby town centre has plenty of shops & eating places inc a few hotels & golf club restaurants.

What a Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. Dog friendly, big win. Our room was gorgeous, looked on to the sea. Very clean. Breakfast was lovely, great selection. Haggis on the full Scottish breakfast was the best I've ever had. We ate at the hotel in the evening and wasn't disappointed. The staff are lovely, welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to staying with The Crusoe again.

Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. My room was a sea view room and what a view it was! There was just a small putting green between the hotel and the sea. Lovely property.
