We, the owners, Jo and Darren Jones took over Mount Edgcombe on 3rd August 2023. We both left the corporate life to begin a lifelong desire for Jo to run a B&B, having grown up in one as a child. We love the wide mix of people we meet and our aim is to make your holiday as good as it can be, by going the extra mile to accommodate any special requests wherever we can. Good customer service is imperative and we try to give our guests the best experience with a friendly manner, comfortable rooms and good food.

We would like to welcome you to Mount Edgcombe Guest House, Torquay. Our elegant 9 bed Victorian Villa guest house located on a leafy avenue in Torquay on the beautiful English Riviera. We offer a range of rooms from our twin room to ‘The Edgcombe Room’ with a king size bed and luxury bathroom boasting a large spa bath and a double walk in shower. Our Torre Suite with a king size bedroom and a separate lounge with a 48 " smart TV. All rooms are en-suite with quality furnishings and free wifi. There is a large guest lounge and well stocked bar (hours are subject to change/availability) For 2024 we will be welcoming doggy guests along with their well behaved owners! We have a limited number of dog friendly rooms on our ground floor - please contact us directly to discuss your requirements. Please note, there is a small charge for bringing your dog and breakfast will be served in the bar, rather than the dining room. Dogs must not be left alone in the bedroom and you accept liability if any damage is caused. For breakfast choose from a hearty full English breakfast, to set you up for the day, or if you prefer a lighter option, we offer fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, croissant, porridge, toast and preserves. Our dining room is light and airy and located on the ground floor, over looking a small courtyard. We offer Bed and Breakfast packages and can also offer a delicious 4 course home cooked menu on certain weeks. Please contact us to check availability as these can only be booked directly. We use only quality produce and can cater for any specific dietary requirements. Torquay is the perfect base to explore the beautiful English Riviera and offering easy transport links for a relaxing break. Mount Edgcombe is located on a tree lined avenue, within a 10 minute level walk to the seafront, shops and restaurants. We have a large car park at the front and also a decked seating area with chairs, tables and a sun umbrella for guests to use. We also have a small courtyard off the dining room where guests are welcome to use. We are well placed for exploring the local area with Torquay train station being a few minutes walk away.
