Thank you for showing interest in "the cottage" and for reading our additional information. "the cottage" is situated in the Scottish Highland town of Nairn. It has two bedrooms, one small bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and an en-suite shower room and another larger twin bedroom on the upper floor (accessed via a spiral staircase) with an en-suite bathroom (bathtub with handheld shower). The living area is on the ground floor and comprises a seating and dining area and a small kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, hob and oven, fridge and microwave. "the cottage" sleeps 4 plus an infant (under 2). Wifi is available throughout the property free of charge and the smart flat screen TV is also hooked up allowing access to online services. "the cottage" has quite a quirky layout due to its age! Some of the rooms are irregular shapes and the upper floor has a sloping ceiling with low head height access to the en suite bathroom. The spiral staircase between the ground and upper floor may not be suitable for young children or those with mobility issues.
Nairn is a seaside town in the Scottish Highlands. It is about 17 miles from the City of Inverness (the capital of the Highlands) and around 20 miles from Elgin (the county town of Morayshire). There are good bus and train links between these two places. Nairn has beaches to suit all, sandy for playing and swimming, rock-pools for discovery and dunes for finding a quiet spot out of the wind. The nearest beach is around 5 to 10 minutes walk from "the cottage". Nairn High Street with its shops and supermarket is 5 minutes walk as are a variety of restaurants and takeaways. Golfers have the choice of two championship courses in Nairn with plenty of others within a short drive. Dolphin watching, boat trips, fishing and day visits to Orkney and Skye are all possible when staying in Nairn. Our property is situated in the west end of Nairn among other similar Victorian properties built in the late 1800s.
