Oakbank Apartment is centrally located in Grasmere, featuring one parking permit for a nearby carpark. Enjoy stunning views of the nearby fells from the sunny decking, perfect for catching some sun. The apartment offers a cosy and convenient stay with beautiful surroundings right at your doorstep. Ideal for exploring the Lake District and relaxing in a serene setting. Guests have full access to the entire apartment, which is located above a restaurant and requires entrance from the back of the building via a metal staircase. Once upstairs, the apartment is all on one floor. ENTRANCE You enter through a gate onto a private terrace, leading into the kitchen. KITCHEN From the kitchen, you can access: Utility Room: Equipped with a washer and dryer. Dining Area and Living Room: An open-plan space perfect for spending time together. The living room faces the main road in Grasmere. BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS King Size Bedroom: Features an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath, and WC. Double Bedroom: Offers views to the back of the house and shares a bathroom with a shower and WC. LIVING ROOM The living room faces the main road in Grasmere, providing a cosy space with lovely views. Other things to note Parking Information: Oakbank Apartment has 1 parking permit for a nearby carpark. Please note that parking at the front of the building is restricted to one hour only between 09:00 – 18:00. If you have a larger vehicle or are arriving with more than one car, there is a paid car park nearby for your convenience. Please Note – External CCTV Camera, for safety and security, a single Blink CCTV camera has recently been installed at the rear of the property. It is positioned on the outer edge of the metal stairway and monitors only the shared driveway and bin area. This helps us keep the space tidy and secure, especially due to previous issues with rubbish and access linked to a neighbouring business. **One well behaved dog allowed, an additional charge will apply***

Nestled in the heart of The Lake District, Grasmere is a picturesque village renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Staying at Oakbank Apartment, located centrally in Grasmere, places you just a short walk away from the village’s bus stop, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Grasmere is famous for its connections to the poet William Wordsworth, who described it as “the loveliest spot that man hath ever found.” You can visit Dove Cottage, his former home, which is now a museum offering insights into his life and works. Another must-see is the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden, a peaceful retreat perfect for a leisurely stroll. The village is also home to the charming St. Oswald’s Church, where Wordsworth and his family are buried. Adjacent to the church, you’ll find the iconic Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, a historic bakery known for its unique and delicious gingerbread—a true taste of local tradition. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Grasmere offers numerous walking trails, including the scenic path around Grasmere Lake and the more challenging hike up Helm Crag for panoramic views of the surrounding fells.
